I am done reading and posting on the QVC boards...it is just not fun or worth my time anymore. Of course, there are many very nice and kind posters...but the trolls, mean, negative, and snarky posters have started to outweigh the nice ones. Tired of trying to weed through threads to find the positive ones. It's been fun, but it is time for me to move on.

DOUBLE STRAP RIPKA WATCH: NEW COLORS
The crossover double strap watch (J286568) is now listed in white, coral, & turquoise, but there are no color swatches yet. Since Judith did the silicone watches in these colors I was a little disappointed. I was hoping for baby pink, baby blue, lavender, & true orange. Are you listening, Judith? I have this watch in the blue, green, & red, & I love it!

Good morning and happy Sunday to us all.
Oh my goodness what a messy weather for a couple of days around here, and not expected to end anytime soon. Right now it is yucky freezing rain which is permitting my newspaper to remain on my driveway. The driveway has a mirror sheen, just enough to promote a broken hip! We were even without power for almost an hour this morning which led me to be even more grateful for the things we take for granted such as electricity. After the snow of Thursday night, and then the bitter cold, I thought we might catch a break. Not any time soon, for beginning tomorrow the temps will plummet to the lowest point in two decades! The upside of all this is my Basso coats can come out and play. Now I just have to figure out a way to get out of my home safely.
Michaela decided to "help me" fold laundry this week. I don't think I have to tell you how that went, with her rolling everything into a tight ball! I did, however, make her feel important by distracting her from the main folding in order to have her search out all the socks and then match them up. This was a very funny experience and I placed a video in FB about it.
I hope everyone had a great new year and will have a healthy 2014 as well.

OT/ Who's Got The Winter Blues?
I'm telling you this winter has been very depressing so far. In the Northeast we have been experiencing it all - snow,ice, bitter cold temperatures, high winds, freezing rain and today fog and rain. The temperature began at an astounding 53 degrees and by late tonight it will be down to zero. Bottom line is that I am sick and tired of having to stay indoors. I'm a chicken when it comes to driving and/or walking on snowy or icy surfaces. Plans are always on hold because of the weather. When will we see the sun again? Some moderation would be nice.
Even wearing my Ripka around the house hasn't cheered me up!

TSV watch pic
I have posted pics of the TSV with the bling strap and the zebra strap. Today I changed to the green one, and I am starting to get the hang of it. So, on this freezing 4 degree day in New York, when everyone is staying inside, (I'm making a batch of chicken soup), I send a new pic to brighten the day. I put the watch with a couple of rings just for color, but wearing the emerald band stacked with my first ripka ring seems somewhat nostalgic, especially during this time of year. Five years or so being a Ripkanista....beautiful jewelry and even more beautiful women!

Question re sizing of New J289020 Yellow DQ Pear Shape Ring
I just received it in Size 5 and it is rolling all over my finger. I'm wondering if this runs big or it I received a Size 6 by mistake. Any one else get this? If so, how does it fit? Does it run true to size on you? I did not have time to go to jeweler to have it measured yet. It's a great ring, but if this is a Size 5 it will have to be sized down. Thanks.

Yo! - 1/11/14
Good morning and happy Saturday to us all.
It may be time for ark building. The rain, and more rain, and more rain seems to have no end. At 62F all the ice is doing a quick melt and that spells trouble - FLOODING! I hope the pundits and I am wrong.
DTGD actually had a terrible two moment yesterday. She refused to use the potty before lunch, wash her hands & called her Pop Pop yucky. We had to work very hard at it not to laugh because this was some serious stuff going on. We left her alone for a while and she finally agreed to wash, but nothing else. Her Pop Pop wasn't speaking with her and she knew I wasn't happy either. We had lunch in the usual manner, minus the banter between she and her Pop Pop. When she finished she came over to me to ask if Pop Pop was happy and I told her he was not. And then I tried giving an explanation as she sat on my lap so sweetly. Using the potty & washing was the easy part; trying to explain why using yucky for a person wasn't okay, but using it for an object was okay, was much more problematic. I felt I was going around in circles, but perhaps not entirely. I told her that she still needed to apologize to Pop Pop and she did. Crisis solved at least temporarily.
Off to laundry and the newspaper.

BAY BUYERS BEWARE
The following listing is a Ripka item that has been jacked around with & not disclosed:
This originally was the black onyx Maltese cross w/ the cabochon ruby in the middle. I had this charm & the ruby fell out. I returned it to QVC for a new one, so I guess this piece was not made well. I even compared the picture of the back of this charm to my own, & it is the same charm. Whoever worked on this pulled out the ruby setting & the 4 DMQ stones around it, & they substituted this silver square. I emailed the seller about this (just in case he did not know about it), & he responded "Thank you for your input", but he did not change the listing description. So some buyers out there must think this is a new Ripka piece or a rare sample piece. Buyers on the bay...BEWARE!

A question about open-top cuffs, please
Hi, Ladies. I am usually a small in cuffs (6" wrist), however; it is truly a snug fit, and sometimes I feel its presence. I have also worn an average, which just falls short of turning on me. I am looking at a cuff that has the opening on the top now, and asking how they run, which one would be best. I have never had one, so I don't know what type of fit it is. I am inclined to go with the small, but I don't want to have to exchange. BTW - the one that I am thinking of is the BLA end-capped one, so if anyone has it, your opinion would be very helpful. Good morning and happy Sunday to us all.
Very grey looking out there right now, with temps in the 40s. We are promised sunshine and I hope it arrives, if not to brighten the temps, then let it brighten our spirits.
I just realized that I am wearing all gold & platinum jewelry today except for a JR watch and ring. Somedays it just turns out that way. Yesterday it was all Miss Judie.
I am off to a bagel, tea & the paper.
